Guidance & Counseling
The Guidance and Counseling Unit is headed by the
Director, DSS, Students Affairs Officer the
institutes / Centres Directors, the Director of
Academic Planning Unit and the Heads of Departments.
The Registrar or the Deputy Registrar (Academic), as
the Registrar may direct, are also handy to give
necessary guidance and counseling to students on
academic matters.
Orientation programmes for usually takesplace the
first week of resumption to familiarize the new
students with the campus environment, the
challenges ahead of them , the registration
procedure, judicious utilizations of available
facilities, the danger inherent in wrong association
and evil practices such as cultism and the
guidelines on how to excel in their academic
pursuits.
In carrying out the foregoing, experienced and
qualified personalities within and outside the
campus are often invited to handle carefully
selected topics that are relevant to the issues to
be addressed.
Orientation programmes are usually handled by the
Directorates of Students Services in conjunction
with the Academic Affairs Division of the Registry. |
