SCREENING EXERCISE FOR 2007/2008 ADMISSIONS

 

The Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin wishes to announce the guidelines for the screening of candidates for its National Diploma (MPCE), Higher National Diploma,  Polytechnic Diploma and Certificate (Full-Time and Part-Time) Programmes for 2007/2008 admissions.

 

 

For further information, candidates are hereby directed to visit the Polytechnic website (www.kwarapolyportal.com) and obtain more information on the admission screening exercise.  Scratch Card is available at Intercontinental Bank (upper Taiwo Road), Ilorin, General Post Office, Ilorin and Postal Agency , Kwara State Polytechnic Permanent Site Ilorin at rate of N300.00.

 

Guidelines.

 

A.     National Diploma (Full-Time)

 

(a)       Eligibility

 

All candidates who chose the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin as their institution of first and/or second choices and scored 84 and above in the 2007/2008 JAMB MPCE.

 

(b)       Requirement for the Screening Exercise

            Eligible candidates are required to bring the following documents for the screening

exercise:

 

(i)         Photocopy of JAMB MPCE Acknowledgment Card affixed with candidate’s

recent passport photograph .

(ii)        Photocopy of JAMB MPCE Notification of Results Slip (where applicable)

(iii)       Photocopy of Certificate/Statement of Results of SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB.

(iv)       Two (2) recent passport photographs with candidate’s full names and Registration Number written on the reverse side.

            (v)        Photocopy of Citizenship Certificate for Kwara indigenes only.

 

B.      National Diploma (Part-Time)

            (a)     Eligibility and Requirements for the Screening Exercise

                        (i)         All candidates who have applied to the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin

to undertake Part-Time Programmes, and have met the entry

requirement of such programmes.

                        (ii)        Candidates are required to bring the following documents to the venue

of screening exercise:

            (1)       Photocopy of Certificate/Statement of Results in SSE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB

            (2)       Photocopy of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin Acknowledgement Card

            (3)       Two (2) recent passport photographs with candidate’ full names written on the

reverse side.

            (4)       Photocopy of Citizenship Certificate for Kwara indigenes only.

 

C.      Higher National Diploma (Full-Time and Part-Time) 

 

            (a)       Eligibility and Requirements for the Screening Exercise

                        (i)         All Candidates who applied to the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin for

Higher National Diploma Programme and have successfully completed

National Diploma Programmes at the Pass Level, Lower Credit Level

and above.

                        (ii)        Candidates are required to bring the following documents:

                                    (a)       Photocopy of Certificate/Statement of Results of

SSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB

(b)          Photocopy of Certificate/Statement of Results or Notification of

Results of National Diploma.

                                    (c)        Photocopy of the Kwara State Polytechnic Acknowledgement

Card.

(c)          Evidence of the completion of a year Post National Diploma Industrial Attachment and two years Post National Diploma Industrial Attachment for candidates with Pass grade.

                                    (e)       Two (2) recent passport photographs with candidate’s full names 

written on the reverse side.

                                    (f)        Photocopy of Citizenship Certificate for Kwara indigenes only.

 

D.      PRE-ND AND PRE-ND TO ND(Full-Time and Part-Time)

 

(a)  Eligibility and Requirements for the Screening Exercise

                   (i)         All candidates who had applied to the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin

to undertake the PRE-ND (Full-Time and Part-Time) and PRE-ND to

ND Programmes, and have met the entry requirement of such

programmes.

                        (ii)        Candidates are required to bring the following documents to the venue

of screening exercise:

            (1)       Photocopy of Certificate/Statement of Results in SSE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB

            (2)       Photocopy of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin Acknowledgement Card

            (3)       Two(2) recent passport photographs with candidate’s full names written on the

                       reverse side.

           

            Requirements for the Examination

           

(i)            Original three (3) page printout(STAPLED TOGETHER) from on-line registration or Three A4 blank papers (STAPLED TOGETHER) with names and JAMB Registration Number (where applicable).

(ii)          A blank standard size office file and a blank large envelope to put the office file and other documents in.

(iii)         Writing materials – HB Pencil, Biro, Eraser and

(iv)         A certified bank draft of One thousand naira (N1,000.00) payable to the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin procured from ANY Commercial Bank in Nigeria.  Full Names of candidates should be written boldly at the back of the bank draft.

 

Mode of Screening Exercise

            Candidates will be required to write an examination.

            (6)       Results of Screening Exercise and Provisional Admission List

            (i)         Results of the screening exercise will be displayed on the Polytechnic  

website and Notice Boards of the Institution from Wednesday

17thOctober  2007.

(ii)            Provisional admission list shall be available on the Polytechnic website

and Notice Boards of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin from Friday,

19th October, 2007.

 

NB:     Candidates should note that the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin frowns seriously at impersonation and any other forms of examination malpractices.  Offenders shall be prosecuted and handed over to the law enforcement agents.
