The National president of ASUP, Mall Mohammed Umour Kibiya paid a Courtesy call to the management and ASUP members of the Polytechnic on Tuesday 11th Oct. 2005. The National Secretary of the Union Mr. Ojeyokun John and Iliyasu Yusuf the Chairman of KadPoly chapter were in his entourage.
The Ag. Rector Dr. Y.A. Abdulkareem welcome him to the Polytechnic and issues concerning the Union, staf welfre and Polytechnic administration were dismissed. The Registrar and the Bursar were present during the courtesy call. Kwara Poly ASUP members that joined the management in welcoming the National Exco are Engr. Uthman Ayinla and Mall Issa Abdulraheem.
A leading Estate Surveyor and valuers firm in Abuja Diran Adetunji and Associates donated a computer set of computer system to the Estate management Department of the school. He said that serves a contribution to the Society and system that made him the firm has been engaged in the past in various social responsibilities by training at least 5 (five) Estate management trance yearly on Industrial attachment. The Deputy Rector, Mr. G.T.Olawepo led the management team to receive the ND/CEO Mr. Diran Adetunji for the donation exercise. The Bursar, Director of I.E.S and other principal officers were present
The NIPOGAS Zonal games took place in Plateau State Polytechnic, Barkin Ladi between the 16th to 24th of October 2005.Kwara State Polytechnic participated in football, squash, Badminton and Table tennis. After a vigorous competition ourt team qualified for chess (female category) and Table tennis (Male category). A team of 43 contestants were led to Barkin-Ladi by the Director of Students services Mrs K. Oshinsanya and Mr. Olaosebikan the chief coach. The Polytechnic community welcomes them back home.
Mr and Mrs Abdulraseed Adisa Mr Abdulrasheed Adisa of Rectorate Department was blessed with a baby girl on the 10th October 2005 and named the bay on the 23rd of Oct 2005. The name of the baby is zainab Adebimpe Opeyemi. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs.

Miss Aiyedun Seye Rasheedat now wish to be known and addressed as Mrs. Abdulkareem S. Rasheedat, Exams and Record Unit and the Registry Department to note.
Miss Chidinma Lucy Umeukeje (21) with registration number 54097418JF from Enugu State has emerged the highest Scorer in 2005 monotechnics, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education matriculation Examination with 26 points. While she was followed by Mr. Okechukwu Geiffery Ezeokoh with registration number 54394556BE (18) from Anambra State with 262 points and third is Mr. Salawu Elvis Arenrin (21) from Edo State with registration number 5435263FC scored 261.
